The IFA offers daily, round-trip service between Hollis, on Prince of Wales Island,  and Ketchikan at this time.

The Inter-island Ferry Authority M/V Stikine or M/V Prince of Wales departs Hollis every morning at 8am and arrives in Ketchikan at 11am.  The ferry then leaves Ketchikan at 3:30pm and arrives back in Hollis at 6:30pm.

Hollis is a small community located on the east side of Prince of Wales Island and has limited services available.  Public transportation is not available to or from the ferry terminal without reservation.  Island Ride operates a shuttle service with reservations only.  Call for prices and reservations at 907-401-1414.  For more information regarding available transportation services please see our
Travel Planner pages.

The weather in SE Alaska, particularly during the months of October thru March, can be forceful and unpredictable.  30 - 50 knot winds and rain are common and infrequently cause delays in arrivals and/or departures and on very rare occasion may result in cancellation of a voyage.  Passenger safety is our foremost concern in all circumstances.

General information about Prince of Wales Island can be found in the "Prince of Wales Visitor's Guide" produced  and available for download by the Prince of Wales Chamber of Commerce.
