Vehicles must be checked in and staged in the 
terminal lanes one hour prior to departure. 
Space may be released to stand-by vehicles 
if you are not checked in and staged one 
hour prior to scheduled sailing time.

Walk on passengers must be checked in 
one-half hour prior to sailing.  Seats will be 
released to stand-by passengers if you 
are not checked in and ready to board, 
one-half hour prior to scheduled sailing time.

The Fall/Winter/Spring weather conditions often produce rough 
seas in Clarence Strait. If the IFA must cancel a sailing due 
to hazardous waether conditions, the notification will 
be posted HERE. You can also keep informed by getting

Mondays May 30th, June 27th, July 25th, 
August 29th and September 26th, 2016. 

We will depart Coffman Cove at 9:00am 
and arrive at South Mitkof at 11:45am; 
we will depart South Mitkof at 12:15pm 
and arrive at Coffman Cove at 3:00pm.

"IFA Generates More Than $50 Million in 
Economic Activity Annually"

The Inter-Island Ferry Authority has released a study showing 
that the IFA is responsible for significant economic activity 
in Southern Southeast Alaska.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has renewed the 
transportation grant to the State of Alaska Department of Military & Veterans Affairs, and the State has advised the Inter-Island Ferry Authority that the IFA has been accepted into the 
Veteran Federal Transportation Grant Program again this year!

Effective immediately, the IFA is authorized to issue both 
passenger and vehicle ticketing to qualifying Veterans traveling 
in conjunction with healthcare needs.

Present your current Alaska Driver License or ID Card with VA endorsement, Armed Forces of the United States ID Card {Retiree}, 
VA Healthcare Card or VA Veteran’s Choice Card to qualify for this

Travel under this Veteran Affairs Transportation Program applies 
to the IFA’s daily service between Hollis and Ketchikan, and also between Metlakatla and Ketchikan while AMHS’s 
M/V Lituya is undergoing annual maintenance.

Please be advised that the Inter-Island Ferry Authority Hollis Terminal will no longer have running water at its lavatory sink basins due to 
non-compliance with the new State of Alaska DEC Drinking Water Program regulations. Hand sanitizer gel and wipes will be available for customers to use. IFA is in the process of identifying what options are available to bring the system into compliance. This alternative will be used until a State approved system can be installed. We are sorry for the inconvenience experienced by our valued customers.
