Is there Connecting Shuttle Transportation at Ketchikan, Hollis, Coffman Cove and S. Mitkof (terminal for Petersburg)? Answer: Independently operated passenger transportation service is available between the Hollis terminal, Klawock, Craig and Coffman Cove. Scheduled bus service operated by the Ketchikan Gateway Borough provides connections between the Ketchikan terminal north to the Ward Cove industrial site, and south to downtown and the Fawn Mountain School.
There is a shuttle service from South Mitkof to Petersburg (approx. 25 miles), the South Mitkof Express, which requires a reservation prior to sailing by calling Viking Travel 907-772-3818.

Do I need a reservation just to walk on? Answer: For walk-on passengers, most sailing's it is not necessary to have a reservation, but we recommend making reservations ahead of time for walk-ons to save time at the time of sailing and occasionally there are full sailings.

Do vehicle rates include the driver? Answer: Currently the driver of a vehicles (15' and larger) are free.

Are there offices where I can buy tickets? Answer: You can purchase tickets at any of our terminal sites and business offices.

How big are the vessels and how many passengers do they carry? Answer: Specifications for both vessels include a length of 198 feet, breadth of 51 feet, passenger and vehicle decks, a bow thruster, power provided by twin 1500 horsepower diesels, with a service speed of 15 knots.
The M/V PRINCE OF WALES and M/V STIKINE were built at Dakota Creek Industries in Anacortes, Washington. Passenger facilities include a forward observation lounge with recliner chairs, reading room, quiet room for passengers needing privacy, full-service galley and restaurant, children's play area, and a solarium. Each vessel is certificated for 170 passengers, with a vehicle capacity of 30 standard autos, or 15 autos and 10 - 28 foot semi-trailers. Food and beverage service is available in the restaurant aboard IFA vessels.
